Refresh Team Leader
Raewyn Elsegood
|
"Hi, Im Raewyn. My role as Retreat team leader is to serve you
(the guests) and the Refresh team. It has been a priviledge to birth
this dream in 2004 with a retreat on the Central Coast and then in 2006 in
the Blue Mountains. I love to encourage women to stop and take
time out for themselves so they can be refreshed and more able to pour out
to others. I really enjoy directing and pastorally caring for the
Refresh team as they work together to give you the most amazing weekend away. I love the support I
have from my family in all I do as this gives me permission to be 'me' in
amongst the whirlwind of life. I love sitting quietly on my back
deck listening to God. My favourite food is chocolate and I love to
dance. What do I look forward to most at Refresh?.... Making
hundreds more friendships, watching you all enjoy yourselves and being
blown away by how much God loves us."

Networking
Lisa Rawson

Hi My name is Lisa Rawson and
I am the Networking Team Leader for Refresh 2008.
I am really looking forward
to this journey we are about to take together.
In Networking I oversee Marketing Events – We have already had two very
successful events this year. In August we went to
Revive 07 presented by the Baptist Churches of NSW and ACT, at Olympic Park
Sports Centre in Homebush. We had a great three day’s of teaching and equipping
and sharing Refresh with over 30 different churches.
In September we spent the
afternoon drinking up all that Refresh 2008 has planned at our launch in Yowie Bay. We
spent the afternoon connecting with one another, sharing in some divine treats,
and being equipped with great resource to go and share with all our girlfriends. The afternoon was complete by the gorgeous
Cathy Hulme as she had us all in stitches with a laughter workshop.
Church Representatives – Could this be you? - The role of a Church
Representative is simply to Establish, Equip and Empower those girls that you
are working alongside, in particular the Hostesses
Hostesses – Could this be you? - The role
of a hostess is to Establish, Support and Empower the girls in your group. This
will be made possible from being equipped by your Church Representative.
If you are interesed in either of these roles please don't hesitate to contact me.
I would value your prayers
for myself and the team as we journey together, and as we continue to love the
girl’s in all the little things.

Administration
Irene Needham

"Hi, I'm Irene and my role at Refresh is to oversee
Administration.
I love details!! I love to work with the branding, website,
documentation, registrations and making sure the details you send us
are accurately and safely recorded so we can serve you better leading
up to and on the weekend.
If I am not working on the computer (which is a challenge!) I love to
spend time with my 2 boys, watch movies with my husband, read a good
book and eat chocolate!!! My favourite colour is orange as it
represents having fun.
What do I look forward to most at Refresh?... Meeting new people and
seeing lives changed by the reality of how much God loves them. I am
also looking forward to sleeping in (maybe!!!) and not cooking!
I look forward to meeting you all in September 2008."

Workshops
Jenelle Galey
|
Hi, I'm Jenelle, my role at Refresh is to co-ordinate the
Saturday afternoon optional Workshops.
I have a very loving husband who runs his own business from
home allowing us greater freedom with our family time, four adorable
children, ranging in ages from 15 - 4 years old who keep us very busy
and each believes their needs come first (don't they all). I am also
trying to juggle part time work and Ministry.
So I know how important it is to take time out, to do
something you love, to rejuvenate your mind and body.
My "time out" would definately involve scrapbooking, but I
love any craft.
My hope is that by providing a range of optional workshops for
you to choose from you will be able to participate in something you
love or have always wanted to try and be able to switch off to
everything else for that time and come away feeling REFRESHED.
See you at Refresh '08.

Loving in all the Little Things
Kylie Dennett

"Hi, my name is Kylie and my role at Refresh is to oversee
Taskforce or as I like to be known: Loving women in the little things!
I want every women at Refresh to feel loved, be loved and to
know God’s love for them. My prayer is that they will leave the weekend
feeling loved, empowered and Refreshed.
I love spending time with my gorgeous husband and beautiful girls.
My family mean the world to me and I love watching them grow although they are
growing up too fast. I love scrapbooking and working with my other children at
preschool. Spending time with friends and family is time well spent. I also
love reading, shopping and watching my favourite shows on TV
My favourite colour would have to be any shade of PINK!!!
As for my favourite food- Cadburys chocolate of course!
What do I look forward to most at Refresh?.... Meeting all the
beautiful girls that God will bring to the Retreat. Watching their lives be
filled with the knowledge that God loves them, adores them and wants to empower
them to live in freedom in His love. I want everyone girl to go back to their
lives with the assurance that they are not on this journey of life by
themselves. There are mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, girlfriends, work colleagues
who are all on this journey together and that we can encourage and support each
other.
I can’t wait to enjoy the yummy food, breathe in the
mountain air and relax in the spa….how divine.
I can’t wait to meet you as you come and spend a
weekend with the girls in the beautiful mountains that our God created for us
to enjoy! See you at Refresh September 2008." |

Prayer
Ellen Yule
|
“Hi, my name is Ellen. For a number of years, God has been
leading me into a more reflective way of living. Like most, I live a busy life
and so the tendency has always been to “do” rather than to “be”.
The challenge to “be still and know that I am God” (Ps 46) is an on-going challenge for me but one I endeavor to take up at every
opportunity. When I stop even for a few moments and be still in His presence, I
learn more about His heart and what He is desiring for my life. I trust and
pray Refresh 2008 will provide the opportunity for many to step back from the
hurricane of life and to be refreshed spiritually, emotionally, physically. Being
team leader for the Prayer Team for Refresh 2008 is a humbling experience but
one I believe is from God. God has already answered our prayers in some amazing
ways and I look forward to what He is going to show us in the next 12 months as
we pray and prepare for Refresh 2008.
On a personal level, I am married and we have 3 adult children,
one of whom is married. Recently a grandson joined our family so being with
family would have to be one of the things I enjoy most. I also love chocolate,
reading and photography.
I look forward to meeting many of you in September
next year. In the meantime, if you have any needs for which you would like
prayer, please don’t hesitate to make contact with the team.
